MFB: March 1934

In addition to its regular coverage, the second issue of MFB includes a separate list of films on general release which were not reviewed within that particular edition. Some would be reviewed in later issues, some not at all. This became a regular feature over the next twenty years or so, because it wasn't always possible for writers to view all relevant films prior to publication. However, being completist in nature, the magazine endeavoured to reflect what was available to the general public at any given time, hence those peripheral listings of non-reviewed titles.

Until now, such films have been retained in this Index, marked with the disclaimer: "Listed, but not reviewed". From this point onward, however, such entries will be deleted from individual postings and relocated in the annual Round-Ups which will be going online in due course. That way, the blog will accurately reflect what has actually been reviewed in the pages of MFB and S&S, while still providing a complete overview of all films screened in UK cinemas since the 1930's.
