Also, the given running time assumes a projected frame-rate of 24 frames per second (except for TV material in countries where the broadcast frame-rate is 25fps). Most VHS and DVD releases in the UK are replicated at 25fps, causing a subliminal speed-up that 'reduces' the running time by around 4 per cent. Most Blu-ray releases (including 4K) are replicated at the original 24fps.
